E. Andrew Edwards
E. Andrew Edwards is an experienced Bahamian Attorney, economist, and businessman. Mr. Edwards specializes in the area of commercial law including commercial contracts, intellectual property, companies, conveyancing, mortgages, real estate development, trust law, financial and corporate services, and foreign direct investment.
He is presently the Managing Partner of Davis & Co. Law Firm one of the leading boutique commercial law firms in The Bahamas. Andrew also lectured for a period at the Eugene Dupuch Law School in The Bahamas. He previously worked as a Research and Planning Executive at the Hotel Corporation of The Bahamas after a short career in banking, internal audit, and controls.
Andrew is a Member of the Bahamas Bar Association, where he serves on the Ethics Committee. He earned his Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of London in the United Kingdom. He also holds an M.A. in Management and an MSc in Law and Accounting from the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom. He also received a BSc in Economics and Management and a BA in Political Science from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin.
In October 2021 Andrew was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Hospitals Authority of The Bahamas, which is responsible for the operation and management of all public hospitals and other medical services in The Bahamas. He also serves on the Board of Directors of St. Augustine’s College Catholic High School in Nassau Bahamas, his high school alma mater, and previously served as a Director of the Insurance Commission of The Bahamas. A very civic-minded individual, Andrew holds leadership positions in several philanthropic and community-based organizations.
